Ratings: Midnight, Texas Dips in Week 2, ...

No surprise there since every show dips. But the good thing is:

"Midnight, Texas delivered 3.3 million total viewers and a 0.8 demo rating in Week 2, dipping just 8 percent and one tenth from its premiere. That said, NBC notes that the 0.8 marks the second-highest rating for any broadcast drama this summer so far."

I haven't watched the second ep yet - and I'm sure there are plenty of others like myself who DVR'd it rather than watched it live...

I did watch episode 2 last night and thought it was very good. I think the key is whether or not you were a fan of True Blood. The show certainly feels like a Texas True Blood spin-off...so for me I like it fine. But, if you didn't like or watch True Blood, I can see the viewer would have a difficult time with this show. Plus unlike True Blood which introduced the various supernatural elements gradually, Midnight threw in everything but the kitchen sink right from the get go. We'll see where the ratings head from here.

I just finished watching the second ep, and I enjoyed it as well. Although, during the first ep I had no inkling of just how foolish the female deputy was going to turn out to be - and that was pretty foolish!

You may be right when it comes to your theory about True Blood fans. But being a TB fan, I suppose I can't really judge if it makes a difference or not...

Midnight, Texas continues to do well in the ratings - or as the article I just read says:

"while Midnight, Texas ( 3.1 mil/0.8 ) stabilized in Week 3."

I haven't watched the third ep yet - and like last week, I'm sure there are plenty of others like myself who DVR'd it rather than watched it live...

Actually, it might prove interesting to see the DVR ratings once they come out...
