       And I think it's dry!!    Though let's hope someone eventually took it out and put it in a basket or something so that they could dry the newer loads. If not, in 20 years there must be a huge backload of clothes needing to be dried!!   

I've wondered how Carolyn could sneak Adam's "slightly" over-sized clothes and underwear into the washer and dryer without Mrs. Johnson ever catching Carolyn in the laundry room in Collinwood?

Can you imagine Mrs. J., confronting Carolyn there: "Jesus, Carolyn, whose extra, extra-large skivvies are those!?!"

Carolyn may well have slipped Mrs. Johnson a few $20's to keep her mouth shut.

Remember when Mrs. Johnson became suspicious when young David was stealing food from the kitchen to feed Matthew Morgan, who was hiding out in the Old House?

Well, as you suggested, maybe Carolyn was paying Mrs. Johnson to also look the other way, when Carolyn was schlepping all of that food up to an undoubtedly very
hungry Adam in the West Wing? 

It wouldn't surprise me at all. I'm sure that she had seen both Roger and Elizabeth (and a few others) buy people's silence, cooperation or both.
