Login Issue at Work

Today was my first day working alone at work.

You're allowed to watch Hulu, Netflix, etc.

I tried to get on this forum; I got some odd message, that it wanted to be framed, or something, so I clicked okay.

This created a new tab, but I could see the pic of the blue Collinwood on orig. tab.

But, I couldn't get on either way.

It's not that I couldn't log in, I couldn't get DSboards to 'load' (that's not right).

MB/Midnite, are you able to see when someone 'tries' to login? I'll guesstimate it was bet. 7-8 pm eastern.

Which browser are you using?

I'm pretty sure it's Explorer.

(It asked me the other day if I wanted to upgrade to Chrome, but it's not mine, so I let it be.)

Explorer may be your problem at work. MagnusTrask has mentioned that he's had similar problems accessing the forum with IE since he's gotten a newer computer. But the weird thing is it doesn't seem to happen with all computers using newer versions of Microsoft browsers. For example, I have a friend who bought a new computer earlier this week, it's running Windows 10 and has Microsoft Edge (which is meant to replace IE) and IE 11, but that computer has no problem whatsoever accessing the forum with Edge or IE. Go figure. But then, there's never been any rhyme or reason when it comes to Microsoft products...

Sorry I don't have better news.

Thanks for remembering, MB.  Yes, Patti, exact same problem with my used-new computer, so that I can't access it from there.  The whole purpose of my older computer now is to access this forum.

I guess my dial-up is getting in the way of downloading new browsers.

Well, I tried installing Chrome at work;;;don't know why it didn't, but, again, it's not my computer.

The search engine is bing.

When I tried DS this time, the url/add seemed fine, but it didn't run (even refreshed).

No messages though.

MB, I didn't catch your Microsoft Edge until now.

At work today, there's the 'standard' e (explorer), plus an e that looks somewhat like the aforementioned e.

I hovered over it and it said MS Edge.

Is it trying to be the new Chrome?

Well, couldn't get on today at work.

It took me to the 'opening page' (click here), but, nothing happened.

Tried https://dsboardsdotcom (used a .), but nothing again.

I'm pretty sure someone dl Chrome.
