The show moves in a very different direction with this storyline. It's a lot more subtle than the vampire/Frankenstein stories of the last several months. This story refocused attention on the Collins family which makes it very engaging for us viewers. Denise Nickerson was a remarkable young actress. Amy is one of the most interesting characters that the show ever presented. I wish that they had held onto her and given her more to do.

Yes, she is very good. Funny thing: in my memory of the show, Amy was also by David's side in the Gerard storyline. Imagine my shock when I watched the series years later and found out it was a different girl altogether. Ah, memory plays weird tricks on a person. Just think how many other false memories we carry around with us through life.

I like the idea of Amy in the Gerard story better than what was actually onscreen.

My memory for DS stuff is usually pretty good. Except for this one: I thought that the name of the Joan Bennett character was Elizabeth Stoddard Collins.
