Carolyn's Missed Out On Hairstyle

When I was recently watching The Shangri-Las perform "Leader Of The Pack" as part of the PBS show 60s Girl Grooves (another one of the Jim Pierson produced My Music specials), I couldn't help but wonder why didn't Carolyn wear her hair like the lead singer did while Carolyn was going through her Buzz phase? I mean, wasn't Buzz Collinsport's answer to the leader of the pack?  [ghost_wink]


After all, Carolyn couldn't have looked any worse that some of the styles they stuck Joan Bennett with back in '66!  [ghost_nowink]

Looks like she had a second brain grafted on, and combed her hair to cover it...

Carolyn might have dropped the ball on this 'do' but similar looks were spotted on pansy/leititia faye so nancy didn't totally miss out.

As I've pointed out elsewhere, I love the Shangrilas and Nancy certainly would have rocked this hairdo. However, the biker depicted is certainly no Buzz Hackett or even Eric Von Zipper.

Btw, Mary Weiss, the group's lead Singer, made a bit if a comeback a couple of years ago
She may have been a personal trainer or gym rat because she looks amazing.
