I think maybe Patti meant that the water boiled over and caused the gas flame to flare. Hell, I do that every time I boil pasta!!

Or, if you don't put enough water in the pan then the water will boil away leaving the pasta to burn the pan. All you need is a phone call or a crying child for it to happen.

heck i've burned pasta for the all the reasons above! Yes it was actually black!smelled gross too!

Well, at least you girls cook spagetti!!
Here's an Italian girl who's probably never cooked spagetti in her life!! (I can't stand it) We had it so much when I was little that Im so so sick of it! I could imagine what my ancestors are thinking! LOL!

I cook pasta because my Italian husband could eat it 24/7 but I agree with you, Cassandra. I'm sick of it! Now give me some real Southern Fried Chicken-in-a-basket and I'd be in hog heaven.

I hear ya Carol!!! I'll take that Southern Fried Chicken any day!! And I'd never pass up Fish! But no spagetti please!!! My Dad always says that he don't know where the heck I came from, LOL!!
