I suppose the people who wrote the Calendar feature figured more often than not people would want to provide a bit more info for their events than would fit on the calendar itself.

(P.S. - the reason I'd thought you'd wanted to include an event with your Connie/NJ post was because a listing for CONNIE/NJ appeared on the calendar and in the Calendar Today on the BoardIndex yesterday. But I see now that was unintentional, so the entry on the calendar has been deleted. :))
