**** CHRIS PENNOCK IN FREE DRAMATIC STAGED READING ON OCT. 29
Chris (Jeb, Sebastian, Cyrus/John, Gabriel) often has provided SG with information about his staged readings, play appearances, and other projects.
Here are excerpts from the press release for an upcoming staged reading.in which he reprises the role of "Don" in SHADES.
It is "a timely and double award-winning play about how America's wars disrupt individuals, families, and friendships..... (It) deals with secrets about grief and longing and about how the aftermath of `good' and `bad' wars affects people who love each other, especially when their politics are at opposite poles from each other and when long-buried family conflicts flare up: Are they driven apart, or will they find ways to stay close? It is also about how war's effects depend partly on a person's race and sex and about what it means today to be an American and, even more, to be a `good American.'"
SHADES will be presented Sat., Oct. 29, at the Ruskin Group Theatre, located at 3000 Airport Ave. in Santa Monica, CA. There is no charge for admission, but space is limited, so please call 760-404-1723 to reserve seats.

**** JOHNNY DEPP DISCUSSES HIS LIFE & CAREER WITH LARRY KING
CNN has announced that Johnny – starring as "Barnabas Collins" in the new "Dark Shadows" movie still filming in England – is interviewed in his personal Hollywood office by Larry King. The segment airs this Sun., Oct. 18**, premiering at 8pm ET and showing again at 11pm and 2amET.
Publicity: In the "rare, candid, in-depth interview...the famously-private actor...touches upon fame, success, and failure. He also reveals new details.about upcoming projects including his next film, DS, with longtime collaborator Tim Burton."
Johnny "is a three time Academy Award nominee for Best Actor and a Golden Globe winner. The interview will re-air on Sat., Oct. 22 at 8 pm ET, 11pm ET, and 2amET."

Last month, Kathryn (Maggie, Josette) asked SG to announce she'd be at the NY Comic Con at the Jacob Javits Center this weekend.
She is on a DS panel tomorrow (Sat., 10-17**). SG now additionally announces that Lara Parker (Angelique, Catherine) will participate in the panel via Skype. (See SG Online Update # 249)
