I am not sure if anyone has posted this yet.
Kathryn Leigh Scott and  a few other former Playboy Club bunny's are pictured with the cast of NBC's The Playboy Club on page 8 of the September 26-October 2 issue of TV Guide. As some of us may already know that some of the storylines will be based on accounts in her book the Bunny Years.

Actually, it's going to be interesting to see how long the show lasts and how many of the stories based on KLS' book will ever be seen because the premiere didn't do all that well, which has several TV columnists predicting the show could be one of the first casualties of the new season. I suppose it all depends on if it loses any of its audience with future airings and how much NBC is actually behind the show and how much of a hit they might be willing to take before pulling the plug...

This really doesn't bode well:

"The Playboy Club" dipped into the danger zone for NBC, falling short of 4 million viewers.

NBC: "The Playboy Club" (3.9 million, 2.8/4)

Hmmm - as a consultant to the show, I wonder what KLS might think about former Chicago Playboy bunny Marilyn Miller's comments:

Is 'The Playboy Club' or 'Pan Am' More Accurate?

And as the article points out, Miller may get her wish sooner rather than later...

My biggest regret is that Bathia Mapes never had the opportunity to be one of Hef's bunnies back during the swinging sixties!

Ms. Mapes would have been absolutely bodacious as "Bunny Bathia," imho!!!  [ghost_grin] [ghost_cool] [ghost_smiley]

It is almost like they wanted the show to fail, it is up against, Castle, and Hawaii 5 O.

Though you can watch it on On Demand, at least on comcast.

I finally saw the photo today, and what no one has mentioned is that standing next to KLS in the photo is Jenna Dewan Tatum, who played Sophia Loomis in the '04 DS pilot.

I'm afraid I don't remember Sophia Loomis at all in the pilot.  Willie's Mom??

Jenna Dewan played Willie's sister and the maid at Collinwood (and in subsequent eps she was to have a thing with Roger similar to his secret relationship with Maggie in the '91 Series).

Ah.  Was her character taking the place of Mrs. Johnson, then?

I still don't know how the original series was able to get away with every matriarch of Collinwood, from Naomi down to Liz, living without a lady's maid.  Such privation would have seemed positively indecent to our ancestors, although Liz obviously had her reasons for firing her own maid in 1949.

Well, it's not like this should be a surprise to anyone:

'The Playboy Club' bounced; NBC's period drama is first cancellation of Fall season

It's funny how the ABC series about the 1960s airline stewardesses is doing okay, but that the Playboy Bunny show set also in the 1960s quickly went the way of "My Mother, The Car" and "After M*A*S*H"?

In a recent  article in the Star-Ledger of New Jersey, KLS mentioned that the plots of that Playboy Bunny show were just "slightly" implausible.  Evidently, Ms. Scott was very prescient in her observation.  [hall_rolleyes]

This is probably true:

Hugh Hefner: "'Playboy Club' should have been on cable, aimed at more adult audience"

Apparently they are hoping to resurrect the show somewhere else. But we know how that usually works out...
