Serial Amnesia....is is Genetic?

Once again, I am astonished at the speed with which members of the Collins family can forget a thing that just happened 15 minutes ago.  Things that would stay with any other person for the rest of their natural lives, the residents of Collinwood forget like it was yesterday's grocery list.

What other explanation can there be for the behaviour of Quentin Collins today, when he first saw Laura?

"You're Dead!!.....It can't be you because You're Dead!...I saw you die, therefore you must be Dead!"

HELLO?!

What kind of response is this from a man only days out of the grave himself?  Wasn't he Dead?  Isn't he Alive?  If HE can do it....why on earth can't SHE do it?  

When you get right down to it, by this point there shouldn't be a single oddity left that this crowd couldn't imagine without breaking a sweat!! ::)

Yes, I realize that they can't have everyone in the story walking around in a bored stupor.....("Back from the dead already dear?....but you've only just got into the ground!")...but at least they could have written it so that Quentin made SOME comment about the believability of resurrection...instead of just letting him rant denial!

You know it didn't concur to me watching that scene
that Quentin would think of what had just happened to
himself. If I was Quentin I might of had the same
reaction on seeing Laura. In the shock of first seeing
someone I watched burn to death standing alived
and unscarred before me. Later I might think that
well, I'm alive after being dead, so I can see that
she could too. But most likely not in those first few
moments.

I think most of the storylines and Cliffhangers are for effect.  Yes Quentin should have been, well I was dead too. but a better cliffhanger is YOUR DEAD!!

LOL, I was thinking the same thing! He could have done his trademark deep, sexy chuckle and said "Why LAURa, it seems we have so much in common!"

I love her response, Collins all the way, "You IMAGINED it!"

Or maybe Quentin assumed it was okay for him to rise from the dead but not for Laura to do the same thing.

Same thing occurred to me...what's up with that?  Guess each Collins always assumes that supernatural events occur in a vacuum - it's an anomaly each time it happens! LOL

What also killed me was that after he'd flipped over Laura being alive, he calls upon Angelique, who he has to know isn't quite right either!
