The November issue of Victoria Magazine has a photo spread shot in and on the grounds of the Lockwood-Matthews Mansion in Norwalk.  Lockwood-Matthews was used in filming "House of Dark Shadows".

For anyone who has been there, it is easily recognizable.  My last time was a few years ago, and the restoration progression since then is amazing.

Thanks for pointing this out, Nancy.

FYI, Jonathan Frid did a Christmas benefit performance at Lockwood Mathews a year ago and raised several thousand dollars for the continued restoration.  In fact, he did the two hour performance in the same rotunda area where the final scenes of House of Dark Shadows had been filmed.  He pointed all this out during the Q&A session following the show.

Yup, ran right out today on my lunch break and picked up a copy!

The first page of the spread features the model, Nadine, standing in front of the mansion in a dark wool coat, looking rather Victoria Winters like!  Can almost hear her thinking...."My name is Victoria Winters, my journey is just beginning!"

There's another shot, which caught my fancy, of her walking two tri-color Collies past the front door of the mansion.  Wonder if this makes the Collie, the official dog of Collinwood? They'd sure come in handy if David fell down a well or something!

Roger: What's that Lassie? David fell down the well...no...he's trapped in the mausoleum?  Lead me to him girl, but first a shot of brandy to insulate me from the night air....

Ahem...couldn't resist! ;)  Thanks Sheenasma for the heads up on the photo shoot!  The mansion looks so beautiful and spooky, esp. in B/W!
