Then there was the lady with a huge strawberry birthmark that covered half of her face. She was wearing an I Love Tug McGraw shirt and kept asking if anyone had seen her cat. I'm assuming that she was a DS fan because I can't imagine the crack festival security force letting someone just wander through.

Thanks for sharing those hilarious anecdotes Rog!  I've said before, you need to be writing your memoirs down to share with the rest of the world.

Thanks, RQ!! I've really just skimmed the surface. There are other DS stories that I'm sure that I will get to in due time. As well as some non DS ones that are equally bizarre, if not more so. 😉😉😉

Another incident I missed. 

As for the security staff, we're all suppose to wear our badges, but probably half the time I didn't (though I had it with me) and I was never once approached by security for not wearing it. In fact, it was my observation that many attendees didn't always wear their badges...

I know of one fan who just kept using the same badge year after year. He never bought another one. But he didn't exactly keep it a secret either.

At my first two Fests I always had my badge on because I rarely left to do anything but eat. But as I attended more and more Fests it was a case that I would have my badge on in the morning at the start of the day's events - but if there was going to be an extended period of events that I wasn't all that interested in, I would often go into NYC to do other things. And when I came back I rarely put the badge back on...)

I usually wore mine for most of the weekend. I was always wary of losing it, because I had heard too many stories about fans losing their badges and the lovely Ann Wilson would charge them another weekend fee to get a replacement.
