[hello][hello] Magda, because she was played by Grayson Hall.  I love the costumes, the junky jewelry, the piled on makeup and her great accent!  Magda!

Where are they getting these bodies, Mulder,  are they making them?

Wouldn't Jenny also be considered a gypsy? If so, then she's my favorite...cause she's nuts!

With out a doubt... Magda! from the top of her braided hair to her chains of gold around her neck to her colorfully flowing skirt! that is one brave gypsy to come face to face with a Vampire and smile at him!

Although I am not sure if that little warning she gave the Collins' was such a good idea... she may regret that
choice.

Of course a close second must be Sandor I love his mustache and knife tossing act! it is  a wonder Magda's hair is not a pale shade of white with the way Sandor hit the wall with his blade! :)

I just wish some of the grading gypsies would stop by my apartment right now because it's 12:20am and I have to write comments on 14 more papers for tomorrow. I could use their help.

I really like the name Julianka, but you know what?-- Magda is available on the forum.  If you want it here, it would take you only seconds to go into your profile and change it.

Oh Magda is a total hoot!! I just love her!  Between the wig, brown make-up, accent, outfits and all of her chunky jewelry & rings, she definetely makes the grade!  I also like how the fact that she isn't a coward and don't take nothing from nobody. I had to give her credit just for standing up to Barnabas yesterday especially knowing what he is.  She won't do anything for anybody unless she gets something out of it in return.  She sure knows how to handle the members of the Collins' family!

Grayson did such an excellent job portraying her. Magda is so different from all her other characters.  If I didn't know any better I would never think that Grayson Hall was the one who played her.

I also liked King Johnny.[king]  The way he paraded around Collinwood with his sidekick Istvan as if he was King Tut was truly hysterical!!

Thank you for thinking of me Midnite, but I've been
using Julianka for a couple of years now and I'm used to it.

Well. . i should wait to weigh in but you all KNOW who my favorite Gypsy is right now and most likely will ever be .. .MAGDA!!  I too am stunned by how different the characterization is from Graysons other DS-characters. . .I really enjoy the fact that Magda smiles a lot--G's other characters rarely smiled and if so it was nervously. ;D Grayson has a very nice smile. . .too bad only Magda got to use it.      as i've said before. .too bad DS didn't go into the roaring 1920s and Grayson was some gunpacking gangster moll selling bootleg whiskey.  . . i bet that woulda been good too!

Magda definitely has all the staying power in her Gypsy performance-  Comedy, Tragedy, and every thing in between.

spoiler-

When she exhorts Barnabas to "go ahead, bite me" at one point, it is loaded with both dramatic resignation and the funny, nasty sarcasm of a middle finger! Priceless!

However, as a featured player, Paul Michael as King Johnny really steals the show!  He reiterates the old theatrical maxim: "There are no small parts, only small actors."  In Paul Michael's case, a truly larger-than-life performance that qualifies as unforgettable!
