Thanks for the invitation, Lydia.  We'll see what I can do.  My TV time is really erratic these days--some days I don't have time for it at all.  And I am going to be out of town again for a few days next week.  But I suppose I could always comment when I have the time...

Just have to say (as I think I have said before) how much I love the shot of Julia and Lang confronting one another over an unconscious Barnabas (episode 466 in today's montage).  Beautifully staged image!

Your comment about the horror that is Jeff Clark's appearance cracks me up, MB!

Very struck by the capture in yesterday's show from Will and Carolyn's scene in PT 1970, episode 989.  This evening I viewed that episode again.  I agree with MB's comment that this is a fabulous scene.  And I couldn't help noticing that Karlen and Barrett got to do more real acting in this five minutes than was the case in the sum total of their work for hoDS which they were filming when this episode was taped.  Thank you, Gordon Russell.

I agree, G. I also love that Will kisses Carolyn's hand before he leaves her alone with Barnabas--a very unusual and moving gesture.

MB, you know I *adore* today's shot of Cassandra in all her bewigged glory putting Tony Peterson under her spell.

One of the iconic moments of DS...

The slides for episode 480 include two of my favorite shots: Julia and Cassandra in their elegant "ladies who lunch" mode, and Julia going off the deep end about to phone the police.  (and then comes that immortal line from Barnabas:  "Remember ... somebody, Julia!" Lang:  "Dave Woodard!"  Ah, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition...)

Hi mscbryk,

Go to page 2 of the Robs board and the complete show is there--today it's just images from two episodes, one from '67 and the second from '68.

I inevitably thought of you when I saw that shot of Julia and Cassandra ready for their lunch party with Prof. Stokes...

I just adore Julia's smile in the main capture on page 1 of the Robs board today.  So radiant!

Also, that's a fab shot of Paul Michael just filling the screen with character in his walk-on bit in hoDS tonight.

Ah, episode 518.  My very first episode of DS!  I found it somewhat dull, to be honest... but Prof. Stokes piqued my interest... and the next day brought my first sight of Cassandra!  From then on, I was hooked.

Loads of things for me to catch up on in this topic (sorry about that  :-[):

Just have to say (as I think I have said before) how much I love the shot of Julia and Lang confronting one another over an unconscious Barnabas (episode 466 in today's montage).  Beautifully staged image!

And here it is:

1968: Ep #466 - Dr. Lang confronts Julia with his belief
that Barnabas is a vampire.

Your comment about the horror that is Jeff Clark's appearance cracks me up, MB!

1968: Ep #466 - Vicki believes the man she saw on the
road is Bozo, er, Peter, but he insists he's Jeff Clark.
(NO! NOOO!! NOOOOOOO!!!!)

For those whose heads that joke went over because they've never seen the original joke, check this out:
I can think of one other actor's shoes (heh) that Bozo the clown could've stepped into successfully-- Roger Davis'.  Particularly as lawyer Peter Bradford.  ;D

Sort of like this:

Here's the capture/quote:

1970: Ep #989 - Will wonders what the local society editor
would think if he knew the former Carolyn Stoddard has
become intimate friends with a vampire.
(One of my absolutely favorite scenes!)

And in the case of Karlen and Barrett it's not like a lot of what they shot didn't make it into hoDS because they fared much better than several of their costars when it came to having their work end up on the cutting room floor.

And here it is:

1968: Ep #477 - Cassandra uses the flame from Tony's
lighter to put him under her influence.
