the  ONLY reason i didn't cause i wasn't sure if it was allowed. since he wasn't on the show or in any of the films either.

It would be allowed so long as the original topic starter tied it in some way to DS. And mentioning how Nielsen had worked with KLS (so hysterically funny in Police Squad - I still burst into laughter whenever I think of the shootout scene!) and/or Lysette Anthony would have definitely done that.  [hall2_smiley]

More connections (from DS fan Kosmo):

Nielsen was in the movie Surf Ninjas with John Karlen and Kelly Hu.

He also appeared in an episode of Naked City along with House Jameson (the white-haired judge who was to have presided over Liz's wedding).

I also think it's an interesting coincidence that Mr. Nielsen, William Shatner, and Jonathan Frid, who all enjoyed success in American TV roles in the 1960s, were born in Canada!
I first recall seeing, and used to luv Leslie Neilsen in BRACKEN'S WORLD, which was a short-lived series, but a rather good one, in 1970.  (Which I don't believe was a fave of most 13-year-olds... [snow_grin])

makes sense, i haven't seen "Surf Ninja's"  so i didn't know that John Karlen was in it either. i've never heard of that show that "LN" did either actually. i wasn't around in (1970) a LOT of people seemed to do tv shows that season it seems.

"Burt Reynolds", Leslie Neilson" "Anthony Quinn" just to name  few.

Both Police Squad and Dracula, Dead and Loving it, are on Netflix.
Neither of them are on Instant.

Vote for Jonathan in the Walk of Fame.

it's hard to believe "Police Squad" only had 6 episodes! i looked it up cause i couldn't recall the number. ya know

whenever i watch a film with "Leslie Neilson" that isn't one of his spoof films it feels odd cause even though those types of films made him a star later in his life. he was a damn good actor in drama roles as well. he just didn't do many of them i don't think after he did  the 1st "Naked Gun" film back in (1988) it's also hard to believe that movie is 22 years old. when i can remember when it 1st came out!  [santa_wink]

anyways, i freaking PRAY they don't try to reboot that series either as a film or as a NEW tv series in the future cause there is NO other man who could play that role. ya know?
