Stokes was astonished to receive proof that the man with the mustache in Stokes's cherished picture was his ancestor Ben Stokes just after Ben had taken a bath.

Stokes was flabbergasted to receive a note saying that Mr. Moustache was holding Stokes' newly-grown moustache hostage because Stokes wasn't giving it enough loving care and attention.
