Two captures from that scene are available:

[gorgeous]
[bawl]

But if whatever you have in mind requires the specific body language and expressions form the slideshow capture, it would be absolutely no problem to post it as well.  [hall2_smiley]

that top one is pretty good...but i could think of other things that would go with this specific slideshow capture..Julia's expressions are quite different in each shot, whereas Chris--his intense look in this shot conjours up ideas.   [hall2_rolleyes]

Just love tonight's shot of Liz and Vicki.  Joan Bennett could be so gracious and elegant, even when her character is called upon to read Vicki's beads.

That shot of Julia from 1968 at the top of this page always makes me laugh.  Of course it's a grimly tense moment in the story...

Ah, Mrs Sarah Johnson... you light up my life.

And here are her captures/captions from that day's slideshow to light up your life whenever needed:

1966: Ep #113 - Mrs. Johnson informs a shocked Burke
that Matthew has been the guilty one.

1966: Ep #113 - David reveals that he believes
Mrs. Johnson went to see Burke.

as for Julia, i NEVER did like that hair-cut she got, well granted when she was introduced it was a wig. but that short hair on her didn't look good at all.  is it just me or do these pics make the show look like it needs

remastering? at least in the black & white episodes. good pics too

The forum doesn't use captures taken from the DVDs (or the MPI tapes) because we don't want to infringe on MPI's copyright (enough people already get into trouble with that on YouTube). The captures are taken from videotapes made back when DS was running on the Sci-Fi Channel. And even though it was recorded from cable, the quality was still a bit iffy from time to time...

1966: Ep #115 - Liz advises Vicki not to live in the past.

At that point Liz was certainly the person who would have known about living in the past.

did liz ever actually WEAR that jacket or was it always over the shoulders?

funny that they just sort of drop the part of the plot that mrs.johnson hated the collins family and was just spying for burke. after the barnabas intro she becomes the devoted family servant but then nearly all the pre-barnabas plots get dropped.

i guess work is hard to find in collinsport.
sleep 'til noon and your punishment shall be the dregs of the coffeepot.

if you really think about it, when the 1st started Burke was really the main plot. yes there were others. & after he confronted Roger, he was pretty much background Material. yes they wrote a relationship in where he does eventually hook up with Vicki. but other than that he wasn't really the focal point anymore for some weird reason.

i don't think it had anything to do with "Mitchell Ryan" getting fired. this is just how it feels to me. my guess is they pretty much ran out of idea's of what to do with him? so they killed him off. yes i realize that "Anthony George" only had what  a 6 months contract wasn't it? or something like that. anyways,

that's my guess why they didn't keep the character at the very least. also that's my guess why they pretty much stopped the Mrs. Johnson Angle as well. i think they prolly felt both things had run it's course. which

makes sense to be honest. but the downside is they didn't come up with another good storyline really for either character.  if you also recall that Mrs. Johnson even later at some point also dissapeared as well.
sorry for my bad spelling he he. anyways, she at 1st just showed up less, than none at all until we see her in (1995) than never again at all. my guess "Clarice Blackburn" contract ran up as well. & just worked

when needed i guess i dunno? & thanxs for letting know about screen caps. i was curious as well. i recall watching my Old VHS tapes & than when i 1st started buying the dvd's i DID notice the difference on the picture/sound etc.. but thanxs for letting me know. i was just curious that's all

The answer to that will be coming very soon - like the Robs slideshow after 7pm ET/4pm PT tomorrow.  [santa_wink]

LOVE tonight's snapshot of Julia and Maggie from '68.  I always enjoy that scene; part of it is the irony, which truly is "the elephant in the room," that Julia's giving Maggie the message that she's lost an entire day.  It would have been cool if the writers had included dialogue for Maggie along the lines of "oh no, not again" but of course they didn't.  I just really like how that scene is played by the two actresses.  It's a moment of something approaching human reality in the midst of what has been an ultra phantasmagorical period in the storyline.
