Incredible Shrinking Board?

I don't get to check out the Testing 1, 2, 3 board very often, so please forgive me if this has been mentioned already.  I recently noticed that fewer posts are being allowed per page.  For instance, page one of a topic will only display 9 messages; the last time I looked, (just this afternoon) it could fit 14 messages.  I just wondered why and when this change occurred.

It occurred Thursday afternoon in an effort to save bandwidth, the usage of which is still growing despite having cut off guest access. I figured this was a pretty painless measure. However, other alternatives may not be so painless...

Well, hopefully things will never get to that point. Midnite and I are going to take our cue from our host. We won't be doing anything more unless they start to intermittently shut the forum down again.

However, we've pretty much decided not to renew our contract with this Web host once it expires in January 2003. We've already found a few alternative sites who are willing to offer us twice the Web space and monthly bandwidth usage for practically the same price as we're currently paying. :)
