DS LABYRINTH Ch. 14 - Fallin', fallin', fallin' in luv again

It's here...Chapter 14 of DARK SHADOWS: THE LABYRINTH OF SOULS. Kinda slow going this week; had lots of things going on other than writing. I've about reached the end of the outlined material, so forthcoming chapters will be taken from much rougher notes, and consequently posted at slightly longer intervals.

Your comments are always welcome!

Trivia Note: Either there is a bathroom at Collinwood, or Quentin has discovered yet another parallel time room!

WOW! This was truly fantastic Mark!! (and well worth the wait I might add)  Im dying to know what happened to Julia as well as Quentin now. Please don't keep us in suspense too long!! ;)

Captivating!
This story is a virtual wonderland of words; richly expressive and beautifully written.  I can't spend much time with this chapter before my eyes surrender to their stupor.

Don't know what else to say except I await the next chapter with baited breath.

Lo and behold, I have received invites to contribute short stories to two different anthologies, which I'm definitely interested in (one of them is called SLEUTHS AND SPIRITS--one guess what it's about ;) ). Since I don't have appropriate tales already lying around for them, I'm gonna have to write them -- and both anthos have tight deadlines. So I need to break away on DS long enough to work on the stories.

As it is, I'm seeing that traffic for LABYRINTH has dwindled somewhat; I hope those of you who are still reading it have enjoyed it and will come back to it when I start writing on it again. Hopefully I'll have these stories done within the next two or three weeks.

Im very happy for you though Mark, sounds like an exiting adventure to undertake, and I wish you lots of luck with it! ;)

But please don't keep us dedicated ones in suspense too long. With a cliffhanger like that in the last chapter, I was waiting patiently for chapter 15 to arrive here.

Also, please don't think that the responses have dwindled some. If you look at the number of "views" on the board, you can see that there are lots of viewers there. Some people I guess just don't post. So please come back soon!! :)

Oh please don't stop your story! I have the latest chapter printed out but haven't read it yet.

 As Connie and I can tell you, not everyone will post a response to a story even tho many are reading. Both of us have ongoing stories at two other DS sites. We get responses from those that post regularly but once in awhile, we'll get an email from someone who lurks and has been following the story from day one.

  So, please don't get discouraged. We're reading even tho we don't always post a response.

     story at your local Staples or Office Max and sell  
     them at the next DS Fest. Once your supply is gone,
     take orders for more.  Might as well make hay while

Thanks, Julianka. I finished one of the stories, which is for an anthology called SPIRITS AND SLEUTHS, and am now working on the second, which is for a book titled BEYOND THE DUST. They'll both be out sometime next year.

I've been asked to collaborate with another writer on a new piece of fiction, but I haven't made up my mind whether I'm going to go for it yet. Regardless, I hope to get back to LABYRINTH before too long. I've got at least another solid week of work on the short story, possibly more, depending on how things progress this week.

I've got a tale in a new anthology titled OCTOBERLAND, which is a book of Halloween stories, due out any day now, as a matter of fact. It's probably available on Amazon.com.
