I would bet money that you're right about Bennett.  I also have a suspicion that Bennett's wardrobe did not primarily come from Ohrbach's.  I grant you that they could put her in a burlap sack and she probably would look great, but her clothes for the most part always looked miles better than everyone else's.

Because I have nothing better to think about right now, just wondering whether all the historical costumes were created for the show or might they have been rented or borrowed from other sources.  Anyone know?

The costumes for 1795/96 were all rented. The costumes for 1840/41 and 1841PT were all specifically created for the show. And I *think* the same is true for 1897.
