I was also upset when I found out the Spratt House burned down years ago. A couple of years ago, I was up in Barker, NY visiting a former friend of mine relatives. I asked his uncle has he ever heard of Tarrytown, NY and he said yes. I told him the movie "House of Dark Shadows" was filmed there. When I said that, a lady who was there was laughing about that. I looked at her wanted to know what was so funny about that.
Anyway, I always thought the Spratt House resembled more of a Southern Antebellum house.
