Wow!  Well, this does my ego no end of good :)  

Sorry, I went on another mini-vacation to Atlanta and Chattanooga (no more vacations, though for some time, until I graduate and probably not for some time after that  :P)

I just got back this afternoon and am busy getting caught up.  I will do my best to post some Idle Thoughts because unless I'm mistaken Tricky Nicky is in Collinsport and he is sooooo much fun  8)

P.S. I am still reading the Collected Ghost Stories of E.F. Benson, Rainey, and "The Bus Conductor" just earned most creepy replacing "The Thing in the Hall"

Hmmmm, "The Bus Conductor"?......my short term memory is lapsing big time here....I'm going to have to re-read that one tonight!!

I love E.F. Benson's Lucia books! I will have to pay a visit to the library web site to put a hold on his ghost stories. Thanks for the tip!

Luciaphil darling, Count me among those who miss your posts, as well.  I knew you were on vay-kay and figured you'd get back to a mess of work, so did not want to intrude upon your few moments of leisure.  But now that others have made it known how missed you've been, I'll take up the Jebez Hawkes Call for Zombie Mayhem:  "We must have more!  MORE!  M-O-O-O-O-R!!"

My nomination for the most shivery E. F. Benson ghost story of all time is The Room in the Tower.  I've often wondered whether THIS story was the origin of the notion of the Dream Curse.  The DS version never got anything like as creepy as what Benson produced on the printed page. Even now, thinking of it makes me shudder.

I've been having cravings for some of the M. R. James ghost stories, myself.  "Ghost stories of an antiquary"--a masterpiece!
