Wow, has anyone yet suggested Julianne for the DS film?  I think she'd make a great Julia!  I love Julianne.  I seem to recall one film she was in a few years ago, where she woke up one day and everyone was telling her that her son never existed.  All of a sudden, all the photos she had didn't have her son in them, and there was no evidence of his life.  It had the potential for a GREAT horror story, but as I recall, the film ended up being pretty lame.  I can't recall the title...

Did a large procession wave their torches as my head fell in the basket,
And was everybody dancing on the casket?

Yes, in the first post of the "Johnny Depp Movie Cast ideas" topic:

Julianne Moore  as Dr Jullia Hoffman

and others agreed with the choice:

Moore-good (although I prefer someone less attractive--not ugly, but not overly good looking either)
the vermillion-tressed julianne moore would be divine as the good doctor hoffman!
I would love to see Julianne Moore as Julia.
As for Julia, I think Moore or Janney could pull it off. Either one could be calculating, productive, lustful, and piercing all rolled up into one.
