I'm glad you like my idea, Lydia! Of course, we need input from more people. If my idea is accepted by the majority, there still is the question of when we resume watching again. How long do we want the hiatus to last?

Last year it was 3 weeks, a nice, long breathing spell.

And the break was planned to be three weeks this year, too.    In fact, the break was to take place during nearly the exact same period of time that it did last year - but the actual announcement wasn't planned until the end of next week.    However, if people want to go until December 19th, that would change things, and the break will be shorter than planned...

I vote for the hiatus lasting two weeks. In this scenario, Episode #700 would be on Friday, December 19, 2008, and then Episode #701 would be on Monday, January 5, 2009. That way, we get to start out 2009 with the beginning of the 1897 storyline, which is my favorite! I think a two week break would be sufficient. Do you all agree with that?
