Oh, you are so right, Miss Winthrop! There are so many sexy scenes in the old B/W movies---and I mean HOT----that tease the imagination and make these scenes much more memorable. In DS, the same is true. The scenes you mentioned are more meaningful than a trail of clothing leading to an explicit scene which requires no thought process!!

Yes, to each his own.  Too much instant gratificaton doesn't lend itself too much of a build up of sexual tension and once we actually see the physical act, it gets boring really quickly IMO. I thought one scene that seems really erotic is the scene where Barnabas appears in Charity's room and she submits to him.  The scene where Quentin is dancing with Charity in the fantasy sequence isn't the least bit sexy to me but to some friends of mine, it is.

I agree with you on the Charity scene Miss Winthrop that is truly a very erotic scene.  I do love shirtless boys however, I too at times enjoy the tension a scene like Charity and Barnabas' conveys.  And on a current soap I watch I enjoy scenes like this that kind of lets you decide what happens.  Thankfully General Hospital is probably the soap that doesn't RESORT to skin on a daily basis. Sometimes they go a month without sowing a shirtless man or half dressed woman.  That is saying a lot for soaps today.  A lot of people actually gripe but I think it makes the show better instead of looking like a show that comes on everyday to show off hot bodies. I would much rather have good stories than have nekkidness all the time.  IE--Passions!!

I too am waiting for HoDS to be released on DVD.  I watched HoDS recently for a Briscoe fix and my tape is becoming slightly worn.  When this one goes, it will be my third one worn out.

I really have only watch ep #210-583, so for me its Joel Crothers. I always thought  he was handsome.

I have seen only a select shows with David Shelby but I can't get Falcon Crest out of my head when I see him. I watch FC when I was kid before I ever got a chance to watch DS.

Joel was a goregous man.  I didn't really get into his latter look in the early 80's though with the porn stache!   [8_1_209] However, he was a doll on Dark Shadows.  BTW JW do you NOT want to see them or just haven't gotten around to it?

Hey JW (I hope you don't mind me shortening that) are some pictures of Joel.  I don't have a fancy screencapture program on my comp. however I have a good digital  camera and take a lot of pics of DS. I think they turn out pretty good to be just snapped from the screen with a camera! Now this is Joel in episodes you haven't seen, however they aren't really that spoilerish.  Hope everyone enjoys!

He was a precious doll and so good looking and from what I have read a dear man.  We miss ya Joel.  [hall2_sad]
