Poor Joel Crothers made me laugh out loud today, when he walked into Collinwood and couldn't get his cloak to behave. And then when he walked out, the door bounced open again after he shut it. But still, he did a very nice job as the increasingly odious and scheming Nathan.
Millicent's wedding dress was beautiful. A pity that it was worn in honor of such a worthless bridegroom. I was thinking that Joshua should tell Nathan before the ceremony that Millicent had handed all her money over to Daniel, to give Nathan a chance to change his mind, but then I decided that Joshua is more interested in making sure Nathan won't spill the beans about Barnabas - even if Nathan is incorrect on what exactly the beans are. I always think of this part of 1795 as a rather unnecessary coda, but it isn't that at all. Somehow or other things have to be set up so that Willie can let Barnabas loose in 1967, and Nathan is what makes that possible.
I liked Naomi's dress as well, and wondered if she had originally intended to wear it to the wedding of Barnabas and Josette.
