I can't believe it's that time already!  I work for a school district and I'm prohibitied from taking time off a couple of weeks before and after the start of school.  The last time I went to the fest (2004), I managed to slip under the wire...actually, they're so dorky here they hadn't even bothered or thought to mention this rule to anyone then suddenly remembered it after I had made my plans and paid for everything.  After some whining (less than I had thought or geared up for) they made an exception and I was allowed to proceed with my plans but - never again  ::) .  The PTB have become so anal about it they wouldn't even overlook a couple of days into that time period so that I could take off for a special celebration of my sister's 50th birthday.  Anyway, unless I change jobs, (pahleez God!) it looks bleak for me as far as fests go - that is, if they happen to fall during this time period.  I really hate missing this one with JF!!!  SOooo anyway...I second Annie's sentiments...everyone have a safe, happy and FABULOUS FEST!!!

Castlebee, I am so sorry  you can't go--that is the mess about school starting in August, but I know in my school district I am seen teachers have a sub even early in the year...(we start in Sept though), so I am very sorry you have to miss seeing Jonathan, too, it will really be something when JF comes in....
