I have a cousin David, and a cousin Tim. Great grandfather Roger, grandson Adam. Grandfather-brother-uncle-2 cousins Daniel. Other cousins include Charles, Paul, Chris (2 of those), Philip.

I know a 90+ year old woman named Dorcas, and a not quite so old man named Jeremiah. Also, a friend of my little sister back in hs went with this guy who named his beat up car Jeremiah, after the bullfrog. Chick got pregnant in the back seat and actually named the kid after the car.

I have friends whose last name is Trask, and you trip over Stokeses up here.

Heard some woman screeching at her kids at the mall awhile back, and one of the names she was screaming (over and over and over) was Quentin. A far less charming Quentin to be sure.

You reminded me, my sister-in-law has a nephew named Jeremiah!  ;)

Are these Stokeses on the sidewalk outside of fancy cheese shops?   Maybe they're just sleeping it off.

Trask just might be the coolest-sounding last name, ever.   I'd love to overhear someone say, "And here is your change, Mr. Trask!"    I'd have to resist the urge to sidle up to the guy, elbow him in the ribs, and go, "See her?  What about that guy by Starbucks?    Wha-- that one with the slightly pointy hat, gotta be a witch!   Huh?"

My name is Rachel and I'm married to a Matt. His sister is named Alexis and his step-father is Paul. I know an Amy and a Phil...and lots of other of the common names. :)

My niece is named Josette, yes after Josette on DS. My brother Bobby who got me hooked on DS when I was 9 named her that. She was born about a year and a half after DS was cancelled. I always said if I ever had a daughter I'd name her Angelique. I never had a daughter but I named my first cat Angelique.

As for other DS names, in my family, I have a cousin David, an uncle Tom, cousin Daniel (we called him Danny, he was a year older than me and died of cancer a few years ago) I have a great nephew Zachary. I know people in my church who have DS names, there have been several Collinses, there is a Stokes, and lots of people with DS first names.

I remember there was an obituary that went through some of our yahoo groups back in November I think of a young man who had been born in 1969 whose first name was Quentin. I forget all the obituary said but it was clear that his mother had been a fan of DS.

I know people with "DS" names but I'm sure it had nothing to do with DS.  :-

My husband's name is Tom, my brother-in-law is Daniel, his wife Donna, a cousin named Adam.  Many of these names are common ones but I don't know any Quentins, Angeliques, or Magdas.  :D

I know of 2 Quentins and One Angelique. Angelique gets a kick that she has the same name as a witch.

::laughing:: I was almost Josette in French class too (this was WAY before I ever got into DS) but settled on Jeanne.

On NPR a few weeks ago I heard Paul Collins and Jennifer Elder talking about their autistic son, Morgan, and I think they mentioned that Morgan’s younger brother is named Bramwell.

My mother's family is from Maine. Not too many DS names in the family though. I do have two Uncle Toms and cousins Paul, David and Carolyn.

There is a Tony award winning Broadway actress named Victoria Clark that I met a few years ago. She was very much aware of--and quite amused by--the Dark Shadows connection.
