Actually, what that Halloween pumpkin represents couldn't be farther removed from office supplies if it tried to be.    But explaining what it represents would be telling - and if people should have come to know anything about the way I generally operate around here, it's that I normally like people to figure things out for themselves.    And I've placed two very big clues on the forum to do just that. 

Sadly for me, though, that avatar will be gone within a matter of hours... 

And can we expect your next avatar to be a stapler?

Believe me, if there's ever a way to connect a stapler to DS or one of my other obsessions, you can bet your you know what that a stapler could most definitely be featured in one of my avatars at some point in the future.

I assumed it's your tribute to Running with Scissors, which, when you heard it had some connection to Dark Shadows, you thought it was about some fan running to cut off Roger Davis' hair so he'd stop touching it.
