Personally, I wouldn't eat home-made mayonnaise if it was prepared in a sterilized Petri dish and served by someone in a surgical gown.  Gimme the Kraft jar.....

I used to make it fresh when my kids were young--fresh homemade mayo with tunafish--yum! (But you do have to use it at one sitting-never leave it over for the next day... Mrs. J  had it right!

Wish I had missed mayonnaise day.  serves me right for reading the webmail on lunch.  Lo and behold I get an email from Angelique wins encouranging me to make the effort to come over cause she caught a mess of curses. That was today but she thought the jar was still out and about. I log on long enough to play chase the jar -- and get a few THOUSAND cures.

Then again, that was so perfectl;y in line with the rest of the day that I should have known better......

Or maybe Mrs. J was telling me something about day old mayo....

Thanks, MB, for the info and the link, I'll check it out. There are so many things I've never understood about the intricacies of this board. For example, the little checkmark thingie that takes you to where you left off in any given thread. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't.
