a lovely tribute mysterious,

i tend to become a bit emotionally overwhelmed thinking about the pen but on the occasion of its 40th anniversary it deserves due respect.

Forget the Bobble heads!!  MPI, please make "the Pen" as your newest piece of merchandise!!

Does anyone have one? Or know if it's a common style a la The Cane?

I don't have one but, I would imagine that the exact style might be a little hard to track down.  Just guessing about that because I'm sure someone out there knows.

I did a quick Google on silver pens and got some (kinda, sorta) reasonable facsimiles...

http://andreascrackers.com/catalog/images/AGC2134Silverpen.jpg - provided you remove the chain of course.

http://www.jimgaston.com/jg186a.jpg - this one's similar but, a bit of a stretch.

http://www.jimgaston.com/402s.jpg - might be the closest match IMHO.

This one seemed like it might fit the show yet, doesn't look a thing like THE pen.

My mother had a beautiful silver pen just like the one MB floats on the board.  She found it somewhere.  We did not have much money and she did not have alot of jewelry so she was very fond on her beautiful pen.  She worked as a receptionist/assistant to an optometrist and a wealthy patient borrowed The Pen to write a check then put it in her purse.  My mother was too spineless to ask for it back and had to admire her pen from afar every time this patient came to her office. >:(

I have yet to view this legendary storyline, though I'm sure I'll enjoy every minute of it once I do finally see it.
