TWIN TRAP

Hearing the name bloopers both Bennett and Moltke made refering to Henesy, you can't totally  ::)blame them. Besides the obvious physical resemblance of Daniel to David, there is also some similar traits. Which ones did both boys possess?

Other than the fact that they were both Collinses, resourceful, and looked alike, none.

Daniel is far more serious, mature, and possesses a strong sense of right and wrong.  David is mixed up in all sorts of ways, mischievous, and did I say, messed up?

Two very different characters.

Both Daniel and David had a curious nature and could tell a good lie.  I still say there is some similarity.  We did not get to see that much of Daniel to completely dismiss that possibility. Remember when Ben caught Daniel wandering in the Old House?

I think Daniel [angl2] is much more timid than David [frkoff] and seems to also show more feeling for people.  He was concerned for his sister and and Vicki both.  I actually felt some compassion toward that character where I've felt very little for David so far.  He has a too much of a mean streak.

But why is Daniel lying?  Just because?  And how often?

David lies out of habit (particularly in the beginning of the series) and often.

This seems right on.  I personally did feel compassion for David, but that mean streak is there in a way that is definitely lacking from Daniel.

Most children are curious.  It's not a particularly unique quality in kids, at least not the ones I've been exposed to.

They are both resourceful.  No question there.  But I really see two very different characters here.  David Henesy was enough of a talented actor to do that with the little screen time he had as Daniel.

I agree, they do seem to be like night & day when it comes to personalities, but there are some similarities present there. Both Daniel & David appear headstrong, each with a definite mind of their own. They both don't fare well when it comes to taking orders from adults either. There's also a stubborn streak there as well. David believed Barnabas was evil and came very close to discovering his secret. The adults around him tried repeatedly to discourage these beliefs from him,  telling him he had an "over active imagination." They even went so far as having a psychiatrist come in to talk to him. It's a wonder the poor kid didn't wind up insane for real with everyone around him against him. He stuck to his guns though and that was it.      Daniel too, couldn't be persuaded once his mind was made up. The Rev. Trask, as hard as he tried, couldn't persuade Daniel to turn his feelings against Vicky, or make him believe that she was a witch. Abigail also tried the same tactics, but Daniel's mind was made up regarding his feelings for Vicky and nothing anyone said or did could change that. Neither one listened very well when it came to being told not to do things, such as "staying away from the old house." When Ben took Vicky to the masoleum to hide, naturally, Daniel was there spying. This is something David would definetely do! I think if we got to see more of Daniel's character, we'd probably see alot more similarities as well. :)

Thanks Cassandra, I see I am not completely out of the ballpark by my comments.
You pointed out a couple of similar traits that both boys possess.
