Yes, there is usually plenty of time for the fans to check out the items up close prior to the start of the auction. It's a "look but don't touch", with the items laid out on a long cafeteria-type table. It draws a pretty hefty crowd that usually moves in a line, but the items tend to be so fascinating that the line moves SLOWLY! The items typically range from scripts to props to viewmaster sets, and other such memorabilia. The painting should be on an easle close enough to whet your appetite and make you think how much you really might bid. It's a lot of fun.
