What is that thing: Part II
« on: April 28, 2002, 05:24:17 AM »
Am I crazy, MB, or did you deliberately cut off the "Reply" option on my thread so no one would tell me what the heck that thing is?  ?!?

Patience?  Where did you get the idea that I was patient?  :(

And while I'm bitchin' over here,  you couldn't find ONE picture of Willie for the 1968 montage?!!  >:(

Okay, I get it....this is the penalty for asking one too many stupid questions!!  :'(

You're not crazy at all - well, at least not when it comes to that assumption. [winkb] I'm just trying to keep you in suspense until you find out for yourself. But knowing this crowd, it's probably all for naught because even though I closed posting access to the topic, someone is sure to IM or e-mail you with the answer. So, if you don't want to know too much (like the significance of why it's in the montage in the first place) I'd be careful of opening my IMs and e-mails if I were you. [wink2]

Each weekend montage is made up of captures taken from the DS episodes coming up in the next week (or two if I can't find a good capture of a particular character). When the storyline shifts back to 1968 this week, we'll be in April of 1968 - Willie doesn't come back into the picture until the May 1, 1968 episode, hence his absence in this weekend's montage.

Gee, you really are impatient! [lghy] So just for you, here's a capture of Willie from his first episode back. Enjoy!

Just don't ask me what that circle is over his forehead (if you don't already know) and what's hiding part of his right eye because you're not going to pry it out of me. Though I certainly know I can't count on anyone else not telling you. Several members of this forum (and you all know who you are [wink2]) couldn't keep a spolier to themselves if you offered them a million dollars for their silence (which I'm not, BTW [lghy]).

Not at all! I love every one of your stup.., er, questions.  [smlyg]

Seriously, I wouldn't do that to you! Questions are never stupid. The stupid thing would be to not ask a question in the first place.

I can't see that identifying the object would spoil anything.  There would still be no way of anticipating its significance.  (Actually, at the moment, I can't place exactly how it's used.  I can visualize the scene, but not quite put the details together enough to really remember what happens).

Anyway, I don't know if there's a name for the object but, it's

I agree, Josette - identifying the object itself wouldn't ruin anything at all. But a select few who I've already referred to (and you all still know who you are, you little stinkers [wink2]) wouldn't just stop there. They'd have to explain who owns it, what happens to it, what it's used for, and most significantly - why. (And I'm not referring to the people who are always nice enough to add spoiler warnings, or the ones who sometimes forget completely by accident.) I'm talking about the ones who like to keep both Midnite and I on our toes, editing messages to add the spoiler warning icon that oops, just always seems to slip their minds ::) - right people? Poor MB....trying so hard to put a little suspense into my otherwise dull and boring life....only to be thwarted at every turn.  Josette didn't ruin it....my husband had already informed me that "that stupid looking object is one of those thingy's that doctors used to wear on their heads".  The member who circumvented your attempt to keep me in the dark by e-mailing the answer shall remain anonymous.  I'll pretend I know nothing and wait for said object to appear (presumably on some doctor's head) in the show.

My mistake regarding the picture of Willie.  Because there are photos from the previous story arc, I was under the assumption you could just pick and chose them, at will, from any place in the show.

Thank you for posting the photo of Willie....I don't remember the episode where he whacks himself in the eye with a pool cue, but apparantly that's what's happening in that picture.  It's much appreciated.

It's also comforting to know that my questions are more amusing than they are annoying.....my husband thinks the same thing.....but then, after 20 years of marriage, HE hasn't any choice.

Sincerely,
Rainey.
