You know you're old when you see things depicted on DS that are mostly obsolete (such as phone booths and coffee percolaters) but you can clearly remember them. 8)

How 'bout DIAL phones and ppl actually LOOKING for a pay phone rather than wipping out a cell?   ::)
Buzz-isms:

"I like the bike I got, & the chick I got!"
"I know just the place!?Over in Logansport!"
"If ya feel it, SIT it!"
"Come on, before he offers me a side car too!"
"Her nose needed some powder!"
"You askin' me to give up something I like?"

Seeing:

-a stereo console record player and thinking it was so modern;
-Roger's Mustang and thinking it was so modern;
-everyone smoking, and smoking anywhere and everywhere and thinking it was so modern;
-sixties fashion and thinking it was so modern;
-a woman doctor and thinking it was so modern;
-chicks and cats in tight clothing twisting and turning to hot strings on the dance floor and thinking it was so modern.

Uh-oh......I grew up in a household where yelling back at the television was the norm.  My Dad always treated TV-watching as a participatory event.  Especially while watching the News.  I still do it.

Thank you Rainey...would you please tell my husband that it's okay to yell at the TV (ESPECIALLY during the news). When I do this, he gets up & points to the TV and says, "Hon, they can't hear you"....hello...duh husband.

Whoosh...I feel better.

(Rainey laughs out loud).....When my daughter was little, she used to say "Mommy, that man on the TV can't hear you yelling at him!!"  And I would tell her "I know sweetie....but Mommy feels SO much better after I yell at him!!"  Now she comes home from her Poli-Sci class and says "Mom, I was channeling you in class today!"  I think it's genetic.  Tell your husband it's in your genes....[lghy]

You know you're getting old, when your idea of a "hip" and "swinging" Dark Shadows Rat Pack, chilling out at the Blue Whale (or possibly even at the Studio 54-like Kit-Kat-Room in nearby Rockport) consists of the Eagle Hill Cemetery caretaker, Grand Ma-Ma Edith Collins, Charle Delaware Tate (circa 1969), Ezra Braithwaite, and the unfailingly bodacious Bathia Mapes!  [beer] [8371] [grim]

You know you're too old when you find yourself talking to the TV out loud -- making remarks to characters during a lull in dialogue or whatever.  Either you're too old, or you're nuts.
I actually found myself making comments to Quentin about half an hour ago.

(this must end before it becomes a habit)

I'm doomed, I do this already!

OR, you start to see things that couldn't possibly be there - like the laptop I thought I saw sitting on one of the beds at Collinwood. I can't remember what it really was, but my mind kept telling me another story.
