The other day I received an email from Michaels Stores that was entitled:

 "This is your sign to start Halloween early with funky new décor. 🎃"

Start Halloween early? Who are we to argue? So that's why you'll notice that the Bunny Smileys are gone and they've been replaced with the Pumpkins. 

And beginning in August, more and more signs of the approach of Halloween will be showing up earlier than usual. Blame Michaels Stores.

As you may have noticed, a Halloween smiley has popped on the posting page. It will be followed every few days by another. And eventually all the Halloween smileys will be available by Halloween...

Interestingly, I came across this article the other day. Don't necessarily be fooled by its title:

My thing is it's impossible to bring out the Halloween merchandise too early.    But I can understand how others may not agree, especially people who may not like Halloween, as shocking as it is that such people exist.

On the other hand:

"On TikTok, people were reveling in the Halloween theme, posting videos of them hosting spooky gatherings in late June and early July."

I've lost count of how many costumes or parts of costumes I've bought from Spirit Halloween over the years. They have a great selection. Though I shop in their MA locations. But if the RI stores are opening, something tells me the MA stores won't be far behind...
