I Love DS!

I have been watching DS in order (first on video tapes, and now on DVD's, all of which were purchased by me) since shortly after it went off the air on Sci-Fi.  I just watched Episode #290.  I had forgotten how quickly Julia was able to put the pieces together about Barnabas!!  :D  She was very smart and sneaky.  ;)  I really enjoyed watching Barnabas and Julia's first encounter!!  :) Julia was a positive example of the female of the species at its best!!  [clap]  I loved watching Julia put all the pieces together about the connection between Barnabas and Maggie.  It seems to me that she MUST have had some prior knowledge and/or experience with vampires or the supernatural.  It was strange to see them as strangers (LOL!) - considering how close they became later in the show.  I am waiting for DVD Sets 3-5, which I purchased this week.   ::)  There are only FIVE more shows until the first COLOR show!!  ;D  Then it will REALLY be exciting!! I did wonder, when I first saw those episodes, what had made her so interested in vampires. An interest in that subject had to have come from somewhere, at least it seems like it. She obviously had vampires in the back of her mind when she was treating Maggie. It makes me a bit curious about Julia's past.

it is also funny to me how quickly people accept sthe supernatural
in movies and tv. guess why it is fiction. my sister hates anything supernatural
and if you watch anything with her she always says that could not really
happen and i always tease her about it. time travel really so needless
to say she is not a DS fan.heehee

Julia i think had seen a lot of unexplained things and was basically
a lonely woman she should have taken up with the Jennings "twins" >:D

Is spring coming soon 8) i need sun 8)

i loved these episodes too.as i recall there was a nifty bit of business with a small compact that confirmed julia's suspisions about barnabas.julia made some coy remark about historians having feminine vanity.very cute.
i prefered the more adversarial relationship they had here to the coziness of later on.

I was watching some of the earlier episodes recently as well. I think it's really interesting how Barnabas was a pretty evil guy until they went back to 1795 and made him entirely sympathetic. I wonder which version I prefer better.
