Laura shure played a great corpse
« on: March 26, 2002, 04:26:52 AM »
Those hynotic eyes that made Laura Parker so amazingly convincing as a witch sure translated well to her role as a corpse.
That gaze into space was so right on. I take it she has seen her share of dead people. I found it to be rather frightening when Ben opened the coffin.
Very good episide today ;)

Also: I can't wait to see the episodes that follow. As much as I am enjoying this storyline, I can't wait for the return to 1968. I am curious about just how things will change because of Victoria's trip to the past. Will Barnabas suddenly remember her? What about the arrivial of Cassandra (aka you know who)? I have never seen these so I am going to be loving this.
This should be fun.
I must go. However, I shalln't be long.
 Good day everyone!

Agreed Lara did a fabulous job.  Jonathan Frid and Lara Parker play so well off each other.  The scene was very intense.  It is a shame the stage hand was caught in the scene.

I don't know about the addition of the stage hand. We do have many more intense scenes between Frid and Parker  coming in the future!
It is a good day because I am still ticking!

Birdie, I agree with you. I thought the two of them had such great onscreen chemistry together! It's too bad they couldn't have edited that part out of the scene (the stage hand) but besides that, it was great!     And to SonofBarnabas, yes, that stare of Angelique's was really captivating  :o as if froozen with horror! She sure looked convincing!

All right, where's the stagehand?!!!  I didn't remember seeing anything like that, so I made sure not to tape over it and to check it out again.  I assume you must be talking about some part of the scene between Angelique and Barnabas between his "revival" in the coffin and her death.  I went back through that part and still couldn't find a stagehand!

The stage hand is seen briefly in the corner when Barnabas and Angelique come around the coffin.  The stage hand quickly moves out of camara range.

Dear Josette, The stage hand is seen sitting at the far end of the masoleum facing the coffin. He is seen sitting there briefly and is wearing a blue shirt. He can be seen when Barnabas chases Angelique around the coffin.

Thank you, Birdie and Cassandra!  I just went back and looked for him again - and sure enough - there he was!  I can't get over how sharp-eyed all of you are, though, to see these things!!

I think he might have been better off just crouching there.  Unless the camera was going to move to where he'd really be in the shot, the little bit of blue showing wouldn't have been as noticeable if he hadn't moved away.
