My favorite "moment" is when Barnabas comes home, yells for Willie and then beats him with his (Barnabas) cane.

My other one was when
Barnabas finally got it through his head that, yes, he did love Angelique.  But ....SHE'S DEAD.
Cassandra:  I have a potion.  You know it well.  As soon as she drinks it, within an hour, she will go to sleep and have the dream.
Nicholas:  I am much to talented to spend my time drugging drinks.

My favvorite moment is the end of 1840, too,
when Barnabas realized he loved Angelique...I like to think she knew how he felt before she died, I mean, I don't think he called her my darling since Martinique, or maybe very early in their marriage before he found out the truth about her...
I feel the love that Barnabas felt for Angelique at the end of 1840 timeband was not the same love he felt for his beloved josette years prior, Barnabas searched for his Josette in the faces of Maggie Evans, Victoria Winters, and Lady Kitty Hampshire, his obsession for her reaching into time travel to save his beloved from jumping to her death only to lose her to poison...

I can not recall Barnabas reminiscing of the times he spent with Angelique, I believe he was grateful to Angelique for
saving Quentin thus saving the Collins family of the future and of course for removing the curse without asking for any special favors in return touched his heart so that he could no longer fight reason...
that being Angelique's past trespasses in causing the death's of  Jeramiah, Naomi, Sarah and of course Josette.
And now with Angelique dying in his arms
his heart could only feel grief and remorse for the once witch who began it all in the first place...

Thus in the end, unbeknownst to Barnabas he at last achieved victory over evil after all.   :-
