I know that the news of her sad death has already been posted here. This message is about pics of her that have been posted to my DS Yahoo Group. In order to see the pics, you will have to JOIN - but it's FREE and just takes a few minutes.

The short bio and pics are from Richard Hatch.

Here's the link to my DS Yahoo Group:

Once there, click "Photos" and look for an album named "Anna from England."

======================================

My friend Anna Christianer was born in London, England sometime in the 1960's, I don't know the exact date.  She was married to a much older man at a young age, and has a daughter surviving her who I believe is in her 20's now.  During her lifetime, besides marriage and motherhood, Anna had a career as a model.  She was very proud of this, and as you can see she was very young, pretty, thin & healthy looking. She was pre-deceased by a sister who passed from breast cancer.  Anna, unfortunately was felled by M.S. sometime in the last decade, but it did not diminish her spirit, or desire to travel.  I was very fortunate to have met her at the "Dark Shadows" festival in Los Angeles in 2000.  She attended almost every festival after that, including the "Halloween-athons" in Tarrytown, NY.  It was not easy for her to travel, as she was confined to a wheelchair, but she did it.  She was very determined to fill her last days with exploring as much of life as she could, she often traveled around overseas also.

She sent me and our mutual friend Kallie these photos just before she passed.  She told her Parents not to notify us of her passing until after the Holidays if it happened sooner.  She passed away on Dec. 1st,  2003.  Her Parents didn't want to let me think she was still alive, as I was writing to her and had no idea, so they let me know right away.  But, that was Anna, always thinking of others until the day she died.  The "Dark Shadows" festivals were very important to her, as she made many friends at them, including Lara Parker, Kathryn Leigh Scott, Marie Wallace, Dennis Patrick, Chris Pennock and Ben Martin.  Plus a multitude of other fans.  She is survived by her Mother Lotte, and her Step-Father Tony, who were very kind and caring towards her, and like me, will miss Anna very much in our lives.

In Loving Memory,
Richard Hatch

Thank You Mr. Juggins for putting together that wonderful photo essay of Anna at the fests.  And to Richard for that lovely tribute.  Despite the viciousness of MS, Anna still possessed that spirit of adventure you see in her eyes in her model photo, and that carried her into our lives from England to our shores and the DS events.
Her bravery and friendship will not be forgotten.

Always, Minja :)

Hi Tim,
 Thank you for posting the pictures.  I didn't know Anna personally but I do remember seeing her at this past DS fest.  I've heard so many nice things about her and now regret never getting to know her better.  I pray that she is at peace now.

Thank you for posting about Anna.  I remember seeing her at the 2001 NYC Fest when she came forward during one of the Q & A sessions.  I also corresponded with her briefly once or twice via DS Board email.  Her courage to travel and not give up was truly amazing and very inspiring.  A special soul who is now in a better place.  Bless her heart.

Thats very sad.  She was always so nice.  I didn't know her as well as some people here, but I liked her very much.

Anna'a mother sent me  most of the same pictures, plus I have some from this past year, which I couldn't bear to show, because she had deteriorated so much in a scant year, alas.  Better to remember her in somewhat happier circumstances, and these pictures show it very beautifully.

The most poignant, I think, is the one with Dennis Patrick.  Now--- one hopes!--- they are both in a better place where all their sad infirmities are forever gone and forgotten.

BTW, I had an e-mail from Anna's parents today, and they are doing OK, well as can be expected. I'll be calling them soon and passing along your kind thoughts.
