An education of any sort didn't seem to be a requirement to be a governess at Collinwood. Vicki and Rachel Drummond seemed to be the only ones with any sort of teaching experience. Maggie and Daphne certainly did not have any educational background. And Phyllis Wick and Hortense are really only there as plot devices.

Such is the way of daytime TV. Bo Buchanan on OLTL shifted careers constantly. Oil company executive. President of a record label. Executive producer of a daytime soap. Which led to him becoming a police commissioner. Quite the career ladder, huh?
