« on: February 13, 2011, 06:52:06 PM »
Celebrate Valentine's Day with the beautiful, teenaged Joan Bennett.
Monday morning at 10:30 AM, Epix 3 (channel 292 on Dish Network) will air Bulldog Drummond, a 1929 caper film, which marked the first time our Joan spoke on the big screen.

It's not Joan Bennett's finest hour, but I love that movie.

She's very much the 1929 version of a "Bond Girl" here, but Lilyan Tashman steals the show as a chic villainess!

For a film that's over 80 years old, Bulldog Drummond looked OK. Joan was barely recognizable as the Misstress of Collinwood that we know and love--she was a cute little pixie in 1929.
But her voice was the same!
