Adding to my canvas of life...

I have a pet male Parakeet named Bobie. He is let out of his house for exercise when I am home. At night, when I am watching the taped DS episodes of the day, he sometimes perches on my shoulder and watches with me. It appears Bobie especially likes the character Angelique. He could be in another room and once he hears her voice or laugh, Bobie knows it is time for DARK SHADOWS. Does anyone have a pet that watches DS?

I'm pretty sure I've said this before but anyway.....

My Siberian Huskey's ears perk up when she hears the dogs howling.  Maybe she's just doing a "Willie" imitation.  ;)

Aww, that's adorable!!
Well, when Im watching the show downstairs in my mom's apartment, their dog "Pepsi" A Westie, will come running in to the room right away and plop down right in front of the TV whenever he hears that scary DS music! Then he'll sit there for the remainder of the show!

When I watch it at my own place that's another story. I've got 4 cats and as soon as they see me sit down and start to watch the show, here they all come. Next thing you know, I've got one on my lap, one on my shoulder, and two sitting right down on the floor right in front of the TV!  I guess they're not use to seeing me sit down too much!! lol!! ;)

My dog Bridget comes trotting into the room when she hears the DS music.  She knows I will be sitting down and up on my lap she comes.  For a hour she can sit and have me pet her.  When I am at the computer she is sitting under the desk.

My daughter has a Beta fish, that we keep downstairs. I don't think it pays attention to Dark Shadows though!  ::)

My dog barks anytime he hears someone scream on Dark Shadows.
If I have to leave him at home alone I usually turn on the cartoon network for him.

When I watch DS, my dog, Snapple (a poodle-schnauzer combo), sits and looks at me with a quizzical look on his face, like he doesn't comprehend my rapt attention to something other than him.  He keeps pawing at me to pet him, which I do, for a few seconds, then stop as my attention becomes focused on the show.  I suspect he's jealous of DS and wishes it would go off the air.

Then again, Snaps probably doesn't know about my tapes!

Love, Robin
