Blair!   He brags: "I can change anything!"   I wanted Jeb to pull out a dollar and ask him for four quarters....  Or pull out a baby who's soiled her/his diapers...

Poor Davenport, I wonder how he's been keeping busy... I don't see Jeb being responsible enough to reinstate his dirtnap.

When Jeb tries to get away and Blair stops him, you just have to imagine HAA running from the bedroom around to the front door, don't you?

Paul Stoddard, with all the lines in his face, was slightly younger than I am now, going by his tombstone.   I don't have those, but then I don't have a lot of opportunities for laugh lines in my situation, and don't spend time out in the sun.   Some people age suddenly rather than gradually.   Maybe my time comes next month...

There was a capture years ago, of cheery Paul in his coffin, that someone captioned with "Hello my baby, hello my honey, hello my ragtime gal!!!" a la Michigan the frog.  Whose caption was that?  That's all I can think of when I see beaming Paul Stoddard...

I hope to remember at least some of that, Midnite, thanks!   I thought it might have been BuzzH...

It's always a pleasure to see Humbert Allen Astredo, and it was special fun to see him so unsmilingly severe, but the appearance of Nicholas Blair does raise some interesting issues.  Angelique said that the Leviathans occupied a dark pit of hell, or something of the sort, but it wasn't until today that I started thinking about the how Diabolos and the Leviathans might interact.  Apparently the Leviathans lolled around that pit for thousands of years doing nothing until Nicholas Blair had the bright idea of injecting them into Collinsport, which suggests to me that Nicholas has the job of coming up with creative ideas to amuse Diabolos.  When he came looking for Angelique in 1968, it started out as merely a matter of cleaning up the mess of that one particular damned soul had made, and the Adam and Eve business was, as far as Nicholas was concerned, just a by-product.  But he claims to have been in on the Leviathan business from the start, keeping an eye on it to make sure it didn't go too far astray - and now it has.

I loved seeing Nicholas and Bruno laughing together.  Somehow that just seemed perfect.

When Megan gave Carolyn the sedative, I wondered whether the pill might be something more harmful than a sedative, but I guess she wouldn't dare.  Incidentally, isn't there something terribly, terribly wrong about a redhead other than Julia living at Collinwood and handing out sedatives?

Nicholas is happy to be out of hell, where he served out his punishment since the last screw up.  He has also forgotten what it's like to fall in love with a human and to be willing to put everything on the line just to marry her.  Over in the big house, Carolyn can sense her father's presence.  Evil, sorcery, betrayal, hauntings-- it's business as usual at Collinwood.

Nicholas to Jeb:  "To want to be human is for the Leviathans the greatest sin."
I thought that was an interesting choice of words.  I know what he meant, but when did sin become undesirable to devils and an ancient race that revels in evil and chaos?

A blooper-- Pennock can still be seen after he was to have disappeared from Carolyn's dream.

Blair!   He brags: "I can change anything!"   I wanted Jeb to pull out a dollar and ask him for four quarters....  Or pull out a baby who's soiled her/his diapers...

[lghy]  If Nicky B is so powerful and in control, how come he needed Bruno to tell him where to find Jeb?

But he claims to have been in on the Leviathan business from the start, keeping an eye on it to make sure it didn't go too far astray - and now it has.

Why'd he take so long to butt in?!

Hah!

First Bob O'Connell got a screen credit despite having no lines, and now Dennis Patrick gets one without even showing up.  BTW, I wonder what made him so happy when that photo was taken.

I loved the picture of Dennis Patrick. I loved how Carolyn made Jeb more human. In some ways that is
a good thing, but it makes the story lose some strength. This is always the sign the they are changing stories.
Maybe they just wanted to end the story fast.
