We're certainly on the same wavelength with this one, lori, because that's almost exactly what I was thinking when I came up with this set up! 
(If no one else came up with something similar, I was going to phrase it as "reduced to wearing off the rack 'high fashion at low prices' (Ohrbach's slogan ) instead of wearing one of a kind designer originals."    But it amounts to the same thing.

Just the idea that DS could have been a reality show!
