Excellent episode.  All the pieces are in place.  Barnabas has managed to dodge the bullet once again, since no one believes Jenny could have seen what she saw.

Quentin was being a bit too docile about being bait with his back to the door.  But then we see the garrotte.

Poor Beth is being torn in half over her feelings for Quentin and her loyalty to Jenny. Admitting to Quentin (after everything she did to convince him NOT to harm Jenny)  that she wishes something would happen to Jenny, that he would have no wife --and poor Jenny being in the wrong place at the right time to hear this.  One does wonder if hearing those feelings from Beth, the feeling that she's been betrayed by even Beth, is what sets Jenny off this time.

And here Beth is spilling all these feelings of uncertainty and guilt, and Quentin's response is "you have ME'.  [easter_tongue]

Of course there's always the REAL question -- what the HECK was a knife like that doing in what looks like a bread basket in Beth's bedroom?

During a conversation with Barnabas, Judith admitted this about Jenny:  "Everything she says and feels is based on some fact."  Soooo, when Jenny accused Judith of stealing her dress and of always being jealous of her, it was factual?  [nodassent]

Remind me to never play hide and seek with Jenny.  Ever.

LMAO Midnite!  Your funny! ;)

Voiceover: David Selby

The music is enthralling and works just perfect in this episode.  IN year 3 DS seems to really be hitting it's stride in ALL departments!   JB looks fantastically gorgeous on this episode.  I especially noticed JF hair today.  It looks like he has gotten a fresh cut.  I like it nice and clean and tight like it is on this episode.  With all DC had poor Jon doing, I guess he didn't have time to get regular cuts.

I commented on the Old House a few times so it's only right to point out that I like the changes made to Collinwood.  Subtle, yet very effective!
If you like DS and want to have a fun  on a Facebook page that is open to all forms of DS and doesn't allow childish behavior like some groups; come on over to DIAESD! You do have to ask to be invited and I will approve you.

This was the first time that Quentin and Beth were caught kissing. [milestone] It was great when Barnabas and Judith caught them in the Drawing Room. It wasn't a secret anymore. Such a romantic kiss, too!  [9341] I like how Beth was able to get through to Quentin. You could tell that he loved her, because he actually listened to what she had to say.

When Barnabas, Quentin, and Judith were talking about setting a trap for Jenny, they were being very careless. They assumed that Jenny wouldn't be around to hear them. Jenny was very good at hiding! I found it amusing when Barnabas said something like: "There was a particular song that Jenny reacted to." How would he know? It was the same song that Quentin always plays! I think the writers made a mistake there. [signerror]

Maybe it was factual, or maybe there was an incident that Jenny twisted.  Perhaps Judith wore a dress that looked like a certain dress of Jenny's - and perhaps Judith had it made because she liked that certain dress of Jenny's.  I just can't imagine Judith wearing a dress that had been worn by Jenny.  Either way, it was an acute observation by Judith.

Jenny's latest bolt out of the Old House was prompted by her shock at seeing Barnabas, whom she believed to be dead.  I wonder what prompted her to run in the original 1897 timeline.  Not that it really matters.  At this point, nobody was able to hold Jenny for long.

I still have trouble with Terry Crawford's portrayal of Beth in love.  Maybe it's because Beth never laughs at Quentin's jokes.

One does wonder if hearing those feelings from Beth, the feeling that she's been betrayed by even Beth, is what sets Jenny off this time.
I was wondering if Jenny even knew who Beth was at this point.  She appeared to have retreated pretty firmly into the first days of her marriage.
