**** JONATHAN FRID SHARES HIS LATEST NEWS WITH SG (SG Exclusive)

Moonshine?

Jonathan Frid writes to advise me that he is busy preparing new readings for the DS Festival in Newark, particularly Jack Finney's intriguing story: "The Third Level."

Jonathan will again be staging a silent auction of memorabilia, including scrapbooks and one-of-a-kind scripts, and signing items for the winning bidders.

If you visit Jonathan's website at www.jonathanfrid.com, you can help determine what DS episodes Jonathan will screen and comment on in Newark (go to Festivals to join the Game).

More news will follow from Canada as the Festival approaches.

--- SG reminds fans that the 2009 DS Festival convention is Aug. 14-16 at the Marriott Newark Airport Renaissance Hotel, 100 Spring St., Elizabeth, NJ 07021. 908-436-4600.

SG #114 print issue featured Jonathan's own thoughts about the most recent Fest convention: Excerpt: "I keep reminding myself of the three recent and coming happy years involving my planning and presence at Dark Shadows festivals.... For this coming Festival next August I hope to participate in the events with other actors. " He comments on his feelings as he prepared for the Burbank event and for his previous Fest appearances (2006 and 2007). He also considers the coming Fest this summer...and he has plans....

The Fest is Aug. 14-16 at the Marriott Newark Airport Renaissance Hotel, 100 Spring St., Elizabeth, NJ 07021. (908) 436-4600.

SG announces: The Renaissance Hotel has sold out its final block of special-rate rooms for the DS weekend. These nearby hotels should have rooms available.

***" JOANNA GOING STARS IN NEW TV MOVIE

Joanna (1991 DS Victoria, Josette) plays "Diana Stiles" in the new original TV film "Chasing A Dream." It premieres Sat., April 25, at 9:00 pm./ 8:00 CT on the Hallmark Channel. Her character is married to a high school football coach; their son is the star footnall player. Then tragedy strikes and he chooses a different path to help fulfill his best friend's dream.

I would love to hear his thoughts about his 2006 Fest appearance...

I wrote to the organizers asking about volunteering. After an initial "we'll be sending out details soon", I heard nothin.
