Yes jimbo, a boatload of pix surfaced on Friday, including these pix and some others in a few different, more casual costumes.  In this pic, Aaron Eckhart (sp?) is in the driver's seat.  I thought filming was supposed to start tomorrow, but either it started early or they're doing run-throughs in full costume.  What I'm thrilled about is Johnny's hair. I know that sounds shallow  but this film is set in around 1960, and I was thinking his haircut would be much shorter.  Nice to see it's more of a James Dean look, because now it's possible for him to have longer hair as Barnabas       LOL Midnite!

It occurred to me that again, Johnny D. is featured in a 1960s-era red convertible, as he was in FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS.
So I whipped up a couple of DS-inspired amateurish PSP pictures (well, the FALILV one is from a couple of years ago.) 
Have a modest chuckle...

FYI According to http://www.johnnydeppnews.com/ website there are 49 days remaining on the filming of the Rum Diary as of today April 9, 2009. In addition, they are looking for 3500 extras so hurry up out there and hopefully you can star with Johnny Depp. You never know.

Oh for heaven's sake, Johnny Depp should go directly to the DS movie after these 49 days are up and forget Alice in Wonderland or whatever else is in the way!  LOL!
