In this episode, it sounds as though Jerry Lacey might have had a slight cold, making him sound more like the charming Trask patriarchs.

I feel bad for Tony, he's being pulled in two different directions, Carolyn on one side, Julia on the other. If I were him I might conveniently "lose" the notebook.  ;D

I wonder what would have happened if Tony would have taken Carolyn up on her offer of taking her to the police. It would have made for an interesting plot twist.

I think it was so cute when Sarah says it took two days to go to Boston.  :)
Barnabas to little Sarah's ghost: "I forbid you to leave! I beg you to stay!"

This was an awsome show.  I loved the fact that Sarah goes to the Old House.  Sets up one of my favorite shows.  ( why didn't they show the next two scenes of Frid as Barnabas, he should have gotten an Daytime Emmey, Did they have them back then?)

I loved the way that Julia decided that she was going to confront Barnabas.  She decided now that she was going to fight back.  YEAH , for Julia.

Carolyn does know how to think on her feet and make up strories about the Collins'. That would be someting that Tony would believe.  Back then, when did people have a safe in there room.

I would have loved it if Tony would have taken Carolyn down to the Police. She did like the cell, remember she wanted to stay there when Liz came to take her home once.
Vote for Jonathan in the Walk of Fame.

I love the interactions between Carolyn, Julia, and Tony as they wrangle over the notebook.  We get Tony in a trenchcoat and fedora (is it a fedora?  if it isn't, it ought to be), we've got a beautiful but treachorous dame, we've got the sob story that the treachorus dame tells, and we've got a mysterious older woman, who really should have been using her cigarette-holder to complete the atmosphere.  It's all approprate to a good old-fashioned thriller.  I just love that the real story is that there's a vampire.  A fedora is not going to protect Tony against a supernatural monster.

David has gotten over his fear of Julia, which makes his later - much later - lack of fear of Barnabas more credible: zero attention span.

Julia sure got a bit of her own back today, when she rubbed Barnabas's nose in the fact that Sarah wouldn't talk to him.  But why did Sarah then appear to him?  If it was to stop him from strangling Julia, then Sarah knew ways of stopping Barnabas short of appearing to him.

Unfortunately, they didn't have Daytime Emmys yet. [sadg] In 1973, Mary Fickett , who played Ruth Martin on All My Children, was the first performer in a daytime program to win an Emmy.  [cheerleader]

Of course, Tony was beguiled by Carolyn, and believed her story. She sure made up a doozie, which was very believable. I'm glad Julia was there to set the record straight. [winkg]

Jerry Lacey sure looked like Humphrey Bogart in that hat! Very handsome!  [luv]

I loved the end, when Sarah finally appeared to Barnabas! [clap2] She couldn't let him kill Julia, even though she was angry with her.
