IMing/buddy list

So, I read here a while back that the new & improved SMF/MYSOL/PHP/yadda will have a feature to make a 'buddy list'.

There are a few people on here that I IM which, because of their DSboards names, I have problems if I type in their names.

Example (but a bad ex) would be if I went to messaging, typed Midnite, it might say user not found. When I've tried using the find a cousin tab, you have to have the correct spelling which sort of defeats the purpose.

Can anyone help me set up a 'list' like I have for my own (not DS) e-mail?

I haven't had a chance to check out how the buddy list works, Patti - and it looks like no one else has either. But as soon as I get a chance I'll try to see if I can find out about it in the SMF manual.
